Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language. What do you do when people are reading body language based on your looks? Besides possessing the idyllic features, the attractiveness of a man’s face is based on some special principles of symmetry. A study in mid 1990s on reading body language revealed that photos of male and female college students were accurately measured at various points for determining whether the features on a side of their face were equivalent to the mid point as the same features of the face’s other side.

The study on reading body language showed….

Asymmetrical photographs with symmetrical photos to groups. Surely, the results actually pointed toward the faces that are the most symmetrical and they were chosen as the top appealing ones. Congrats to those who were born with great looks! But what do the rest of us do?

To understand how you’re viewed in the eyes reading body language, let’s see how we’re affected by our natural features overall. With reading body language self esteem of an individual is closely related to his or her physical traits.

So, the more you are charming physically, the better your self-esteem could be. Surely, there’re the ones who, despite whether or not we think they’re very gorgeous, lead a life with poor self-esteem. And just in the same way, there’re those amongst us who’re perhaps not very good looking, but still live with an immensely high level of self esteem.

It is really unfortunate that the latter isn’t the majority. This occur more with girls than with boys in regards to reading body language . Besides, with reading body language physical magnetism affects self esteem and also the way other people perceive us. So for reading body language you need to groom yourself in line with your looks and natural body structure. Don’t buy the most expensive suit or tops.

This might not look as good on you as it does on George Clooney or Drew Barrymore. You should look much better on the attires that go with your personality, lifestyle and inherent looks that you were born with.

Remember that with reading body language there are a lot of things still within your reach and working on those really can make a huge difference. If you’re obese, for instance, you can try and lose some weight. Stop eating processed food for better skin.

Different kind of herbal treatments can improve your looks inside-out. Work on it slowly and sincerely to see the big difference over time. At least, you have better chances that way to look decently acceptable to people who are always judging others by reading body language.

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: Read and interpret body language. Is it so hard to responsively motivate people after reading body language? And is it possible for you to always get that desirable answer – Yes? I’m about to bring you some interesting analogy. Imagine reading body language of a guy wearing glasses?

What’s the initial adjective that you think of him? Smart? In general, that’s the answer when reading body language. Do you think that majority of the people involuntarily feel that people wearing glasses are bookworms? In other words, people when reading body language think that the guy wearing glasses ruined his eyes reading lots of books and spending hours in the library.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t anything new with reading body language. It is the inborn human nature to look attractive since people are always reading body language. It’s a trend that lasted since time immemorial. Excavations of human bodies revealed that Neanderthals had a culture of using natural pigments for painting their bodies.

People in the ancient times stained up their skin and tried to look good in intricate looking jewelry or clothing. With reading body language, ladies in the middle ages were found to be using a poisonous type of plant called belladonna for dilating their pupils.

And it was believed that dilated pupils make girls appear more provoking sexually. Even more interestingly, this poisonous thing, despite being fatal, didn’t prevent women from using it!! Though many of them fell dead after using the eye drops, nothing stopped women from the appeal of looking very sexy, very good.

Trust me on this, those who are experts at…..

Reading body language, also are good at reading your sex appeal!

With reading body language let’s take a good look at our population, as we’ve already established exactly what we hope to be the zenith of “attractive”. Just look at the reality now because of reading body language. Plastic surgeons managed to develop the sculpts of ideal facial features or proportions.

Veteran plastic surgeons are now able to determine precisely how far the patient’s facial features have deviated from the stage of an idyllic face. They’re equipped with just the right kind of measurements to decide what the right length and/or angle of the nose could be for reading body language and they can show the precise distance between an ideal eyes.

It’s no wonder that they can also find the ideal height of a patient’s forehead. The whole effort is to make people perfect. What did they discover about reading body language? For ladies, nice-looking equals shiny and clear skin, impressively high cheekbones, shimmering hair, an amazingly high forehead and full lips.

This gets better with small jaw, nose and chin. And let’s not forget the big eyes too! For men smart equals large and expressive eyes that are set in an ultra smooth-skinned proportioned face. This gets better with a nice and straight nose. Let’s not forget the appeal of rounded hair as well as jaw line. No matter what the gender is, those reading body language will also try to judge you on the basis of these criteria.

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: It’s all tied together. As you follow your quest on reading body language, you should know one crucial thing… looks can be deceiving. And so can be appearances. However, the society doesn’t usually acknowledge this when reading body language.

May be it’s because it can’t acknowledge this crumb of wisdom. Studies in reading body language done so far suggest that infants below 6 months of age fix upon faces that are rated as nice-looking by adults, much more often compared to the faces that are rated as unappealing by adults.

Some studies indicate that when babies get a year old, they prefer playing with strangers who’re rated as pretty unlike the ones who’re grossly rated as unappealing. Is this a sign of learned characteristic? And let’s see how this is related to the art of reading body language.

Some recent studies in reading body language show that moms….

of prettier newborns usually show much more affection towards the baby compared to the moms of less appealing infants. The study in reading body language we are referring to actually had each and every baby rated on the basis of attractiveness (through photographs) and the some college students carried out the research.

The moms and the infants were after that observed for 20 to 30 minutes before they left the hospital. Sounds harsh, but moms of the prettier newborns tended to show more love to the babies (e.g. holding the baby closer, patting on them much more often and doing much more “baby talk” to them.

Moms of less nice-looking babies were rather seen paying more attention to people around them. Ironically, they were rather more concerned with typical things like “diaper duty” (I’m serious here!). So what do we conclude about reading body language? Appearances do matters…..

The whole story starts out in the stage of infancy and keeps going over till the adult phase and onwards. Sounds ugly though, but we all more or less try to rate people on their appearances. We’re told to (and we ourselves tell others to) treat everybody equal.

Still, we hardly do. On an average, people are mean enough to avoid the unappealing, obese, poorly dressed or “uncool” part of the population. It is really unfortunate but true that, this really goes way beyond kids. Teachers tend to favor the prettier students.

And studies indicate that teachers (consciously or unconsciously) believe that attractive, chic, and elegant dressed children who’re smarter than the less pretty peers. And this is the reason many children spiral downhill to the trail of a pessimistic self-fulfilling prophecy. That’s the way things are folks… we’re used to reading body language in light of people’s appearances.

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: What improves your chances? Reading body language is by nature, a part of human survival skill. Human beings are social creatures and they need to understand each other to create a fruitful relationship. And reading body language is also crucial when you want to save your back from the malicious motives of others.

But above all, it is really amazing how job interviewers reading body language of the candidates to pick up the right one. It’s not just that they consider different criteria for judging the candidate. They also undergo a full scrutiny of the body language posed by the contender.

And there are good ways to build your first impression at the interview session when you understand reading body language. For instance, you should show your relaxed calm hand position. This gets better with the appropriate gesticulation.

Keep the hands under your chin and within the range of your shoulder. Ensure that you’ve maintained suitable eye contact. Smile when it’s acceptable. But as Kevin Hogan would tell you, don’t smile all through the interview. Make sure that your head tilting is right. Nod and lean forward to exhibit interest as well as enthusiasm. Just a little trick can make sure that the ball is in your court.

Let’s think of a basic phenomenon with reading body language…

Do the nerves influence somebody’s body language? Well, the answer is – Absolutely Yes! If you turn nervous, you aren’t deliberately aware of reading body language, your body’s posture, and what it’s saying. In traumatic or nervous situations, we sometimes end up speaking too fast and at an alarmingly high pitch (as our vocal cords turn out to be stretched).

This generally is picked up on by most of the alert interviewers. Finally, you should try and go lightly and easy on the use of cologne or perfume. True, reading body language sets the game for most of us. But at the same time, smells happen to be ultra strong anchors.

It’s not desirable if anyone just walks into the interview session wearing a scent that resembles the scent of the guy who actually dumped one of the interviewers just last night. Bear in mind that the reasonable speed of talking, proper tone, suitable pitch and things like that entice positive body language.

Keep your shoulders up and back, with a nice smile. Keeping talking confidently and walk with confidence. And there’s perhaps nothing like a confident handshake! If you do these naturally, those judging you by reading body language should find you worthwhile.

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: some common blunders to avoid in job interviews. Reading body language is the prime skill of job interviewers. Unfortunately, most of the job seekers in today’s competitive job market do not realize this. While your resume and job experience are all important, your body language builds the first impression people are reading body language.

And in most of the cases, they decide on your eligibility in the initial few minutes based on your gestures, postures, facial expressions or eye contact when they are reading body language. If you can’t pose a really confident note, do yourself a favor… don’t commit fidgets.

With reading body language many candidates don’t even realize…

That they are actually playing with their jewelry as they are responding to the interviewer’s question. Twisting your hair, jazzing your legs, talking too loudly, waiving your hands too much, slumping over on the seat, taping your pen, adjusting your clothes or bringing your hands too often to your face, are all absolute NO-NO in the interview session.

But that doesn’t mean you will behave like a wet cat. People who are good at reading body language will look for someone who is not silly, lazy, idiotic, arrogant and erratic. But at the same time, they will look for someone who is decent, sincere, strong and confident.

And your body language should show that you have that all! Speak in a strong voice. Too low voice signals the candidate’s shyness. And a too loud one shows that you’re overbearing. Just find yourself a blissful medium. In addition, men shouldn’t rest an ankle onto the other knee, as this at times suggests stubbornness.

So much for the ‘forbidden sins!’ Let’s see what the ideal body language should be in an interview session. The first to-do is to stand up straight. An open and broad body language suggests that there’s nothing to be crossed. You should put your arms your the sides and your legs should be straight down.

Keep your face smiling and preferably –inviting! A good handshake could only help – especially if it’s strong, sincere and confident. According to reading body language experts, the firm handshake can be pumped 2 or 3 times before it’s released.

And handshakes, in line with North American culture, shouldn’t be with both hands. Be conscious of where the hands and feet are. It’s taken as a sign of confidence if you sit with your feet confidently planted onto the floor (but for ladies, keeping the ankles crossed is fine). Remember that reading body language goes hand in hand with the intuition of the interview.

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: what are the positive moves in a job interview?. How you should behave when people around you are good at reading body language? If you slump on a big seat instead of rationally sitting close to its edge, that’s not very good either with reading body language.

Finally, with body language you can in fact ruin things if you make too low or too frequent eye contact, which could turn out to be “stalker stares”.You need to learn the art of relaxing your entire face when you’re at the job interview – especially your lips. Applicants who adjust their clothes in the middle of the job interview are taken as callow.

Let’s take a look at the flaws most of the candidates unconsciously end up making with reading body language.

It could hurt your relationship with someone if you end up getting into his or her personal space – particularly with hygiene that is not quite right. Some people close body languages just because they are nervousness. To illustrate, with reading body language walking into somebody’s intimate zone (within 18 inches, face to face) is sometimes considered erratic. Folding arms is generally supposed as a defensive attitude of the interviewee.

If you neglect eye contact (e.g. looking somewhere within the eye-nose triangle) this could also a sign of stalker stare. Likewise, making too much of eye contact by straightly looking into the eyes could prove negative. Remember that, by nature, managers are good at reading body language.

Shaking your leg as you sit in front of the interviewers is also not desirable body language. In fact, this body language could suggest your boredom, nervousness and insecurity. Avoid crossing and repeatedly re-crossing your legs, as this also shows your uneasiness. Some interviewees rub their nose, face, back-neck or ear.

This usually gives your interviewers the impression that you’re actually lying about something. For instance, with reading body language rubbing the back side of your neck is usually perceived as your getting bored, as if sitting for too long is causing pain in your neck.

Another reading body language blunder is the use of space fillers like ‘um,’ ‘uh’ or things like that.

These things are likely to get picked up very quickly by the interviewers. You will be looked down upon most probably. On the other hand, with body language a silent pauses suggest that you’re really giving the questions a deep thought and your answers are thoughtful.

Think sincerely before you answers and be confident about allowing a little bit of momentary silence. When people in front of you are professionals in reading body language, you need to make decent moves to increase your chances.

Reading Body Language

Reading body language is perhaps the most important task of the interviewers. Many of us are unaware of the fact with reading body language that a great majority of jobs are found or lost in the initial few minutes of the interview? Do bear in mind that in course of your conversations, especially during the very first minute, only a fraction of the first impressions given by the interviewee is via words.

And the left over will be based upon paralanguage, type of pitches, tone, amplitude, rate and voice quality. In other words, the interviewers invest most of their time reading body language. I will try to answer a few things about the recruiters. Firstly, do you think that the recruiters are aware of the body language of the candidates? Yes.

The truth is that the interviewers is reading body language

Today, managers are being trained on the art of reading particular facial signs with the interviews. And whether you like it or not, shrewd ones who’re decisively conscious of the importance of reading body language could generally be looking up specific movements of conformity or disparity.

They pay special attention eye contacts, type of interest, overall energy levels, state of confidence, politeness or honesty. Those who don’t deliberately pick it all up would simply “feel” something for the candidate. That explains why at times decisions are within the matter of a few minutes.

Now let’s take a look at the vibes people end up picking in regards to their body language. Vibes could be your insecurity, that translates into lack of proper eye contact and poor posture. Sometimes, it’s about lying, that translates into poor eye contact or scratching of the face/ear. Similarly with reading body language, your laziness could appear when you sag in chair.

Some candidates end up showing off their overbearing attitude by sitting down even before they’re asked to. Pointing your feet to the exit direction is also a glitch as your feet indicate the direction your body wants to head for with reading body language.

Not to mention the blunders of rocking back and forth, which is a clear sign of your nervousness. Poor body language could really cost you the job of your dreams. Let’s take a good look at the typical body language blemishes we witnessed. Some people end up looking angry as they’re very nervous. The people reading body language can tell whether you have ready and relaxed face.

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: The Nitty-gritty of Anger. Reading body language is all about picking up on different types of expressions, moves, gestures and so on. But the foremost element in reading body language is perhaps facial expressions – especially, anger! Besides the certain assumption that the person would get annoyed due to this interaction, is there any way you could identify when reading body language the anger in other people simply by staring at their face? Surely everybody has some power of reading body language.

But is it possible that you will be able to read various emotions without actually seeing other people’s face? Well, the answer is interesting… sometimes you really can… and you could actually view anger by someone’s clenched fists, huh? When reading body language take the instance of sadness, as it could be assumed through a frontward leaning posture – especially when the head is lowered too.

Still, if your face is there for viewing, people can always realize the emotions waving on your face, even though it floated up for merely a flash of a micro second prior to getting silently swapped by a socially acceptable forced look of apathy or similar kind of emotions that a conversant might try to convey.Okay, then… let’s start all over with it.

Our reading body language point of discussion was anger.

We would like to investigate what it looks like or how you could master the art of reading body language, when it comes to reading anger on someone’s face. The first and foremost symptom of anger is – the eyes!! Just think of it… can you really notice the way they appear and disappear? In general, when the person’s gaze is that piercing, that’ll mean that his message is far more deliberate and rather emphatic. Signs and symptoms of anger happen to be severe within that if you have somebody who’s genuinely angry.

And if you know the basics of reading body language, you’ll notice the fury in 3 different areas of her face. The first one in reading body language is the eyebrows, as they squish together to come down. Moreover, the eyes will appear either wide opened or literally piercing (could be small like a pair of narrow slits as well and you could barely notice the eyelids), and the lower eyelids look tense.

As somebody gets annoyed you’ll notice that the brow is furrowing and there might be vertical lines formed in between these brows. Just move a bit down the face and take note of the nostrils that appears to be literally flaring – they appear wide open. If you move a bit further down, you could notice right away that the lips are firmly pressed together and there’s a bit of bulge underneath the lower lip. This bulge becomes larger as her lips get tauter. It’s all about reading body language!

Reading Body Language

Reading Body Language: Dig this if you can!. If you are capable of reading body language, you could interpret the significance of hugging. Are you one of those guys who hug? When reading body language did you ever notice two people hugging? Did you ever wonder why they hug or what it’s all about? And what’re the types of “male hugs” that we notice these days?

When reading body language of men they generally hug with one hand, but you also notice men hugging with a hand which is corresponded with a handshake. And there are also instances when they shake just one hand while back patting. In other ‘hugging’ instances, you see men hugging with a hand while executing a nice shoulder bump. And sometimes they hug with 2 hands (i.e. aka bear hug) or with 2 hands coupled with a mild back pat.

When reading body language we all saw these things, but may not have given too much thought in those. But at the end of the day, it really is very interesting how times change in that it’s all of a sudden acceptable for males to hug – even though in public. Just a decade ago, this was an acceptable behavior in sports only. Did you ever consider “man hug” as a study issue when it comes to reading body language? Or, what occurred to your mind when you saw two men hugging?

Let’s go deep through these basics of reading body language

Let’s bisect hugs and see what sort of statements or thoughts offered by these hugs are. Males hugging generally shows that there’s a certain degree of self confidence (don’t get me wrong here… non-hugger men aren’t insecure creatures in reading body language) as hugging showcases that the hugger is pretty comfortable in his skin.

In general, huggers are quite extroverted people. Men also make it a point that their hugging doesn’t appear feminine in reading body language. Majority of the male versions of hugging share in or involve merely the upper body to ensure the body’s lower portions never needs to be touched. As two guys hug with a friendly handshake between themselves, it suggests closeness coupled with a little barrier in between these people permitting each other to show their affection for each another while ensuring that the sense of tradition is maintained.

In reading body language this differs a bit from the instances when males hug and softly slap/pat one another on their back, as this offers an opportunity for each of the huggers to showcase regard and at the same time this proves their masculinity (if the patting is a strong one) by hitting each other on the back (… a pretty manly gesture, isn’t it?)

On the other hand in reading body language, there’s the more cordial two-handed bear hug, that happens to be the sole one where the lower body gets an opportunity to in fact touch (majority of the men, nevertheless, will tend to pull their back to ensure that there’s no contact). Hugging is meant for the males who’re quite close to one another or have just gone through a great event to celebrate. Needless to say, you understand all that by reading body language!

Reading Body Language

Reading body language: Things that make a bid difference. Reading body language is all about using the understanding of body language to your advantage. Accomplished salespeople have one thing in common – they’re half acrobat and half reading body language experts working hard to pull off deals off. It is all about utilizing each and every piece picked up by reading body language to address your client’s body language that you have read.

When it comes the world of sales, it’s an art defying ballet. As you communicate, you keep moving your arms. That’s human nature. Your arms keep going up furiously with everything you say and could at times express ultra-strong emotions like hostility and egotism more than any typical words can.

As for an example of reading body language

If you cross your hands across the chest, this might be a not-so-perfect stance as the client might be perceive you as a closed mind, who is not attentive to what is being said. This move isn’t amenable when it comes to convincing. If the client has her own way of reading body language, things could get a bit messed up.

On the other hand some people end up placing their hands on their hips arms akimbo. This signals sheer dominance. At least, it’s a clear sign of condescension. For sending positive signals, you could use upward and/or open gestures which spell expansiveness.

If you aren’t new at reading body language, you should already know that showing of palms suggests honesty as well as willingness to smoothly meeting half way and you don’t even have to be pushy. Surely, the significance of a solid, friendly, un-sweaty handshake can’t be overemphasized with reading body language. Bear in mind that, you can also use deodorant on your palms.

Now let’s move further down towards the legs. This oftentimes is among the more overlooked area of the body. But no matter how much you ignore the legs, they can quickly mirror your inner thoughts. Don’t take my words for it. It’s evident among teenagers who’re seated, while keeping their legs in dancing motions.

That’s because these teenagers have some music playing in their head or it’s just the iPod they’re listening to. Minus the ipod for now! Uneasy legs demonstrate nervousness in reading body language and it also shows your lack of focus or attention. When you keep the legs crossed it’ll means that you’re closed as a personality.

Still, if your legs remain crossed fidgeting, this expresses your anxiety or troubled thought. When you’re sitting across the desk this, there’s an acceptable limit of the total number of times you could drop things for getting yourself a fast peek under. If the person you’re talking to has a decent capacity of reading body language, your moves, your faltering and your consciousness will be thoroughly noticed.
